The Horry County Coroner's Office along with the Pawley's Island Police Department seek answers to identify an unknown human remains case.

FACTS OF THE CASE:
  • Found deceased in Myrtle Beach, SC on February 6, 2016
  • He is believed to be be 18 - 30 years of age
  • He is estimated at 5.8 feet tall and 175 pounds
  • He has DNA matches (biological relatives) that link back to the Virginia, Delaware, and North Carolina areas; specifically, Halifax, Nash, and Edgecombe, NC counties.
  • This is a person who died, who is unidentified and we are looking to put him to rest with dignity and let his family know what happened to him. He is not a suspect or believed to be involved in any crime.

One of the ways you can help is by transferring your DNA to law enforcement approved databases GEDmatch.com and FTDNA.com.
