The Horry County Coroner's Office along with the Pawley's Island Police Department seek answers to identify an unknown human remains case.
FACTS OF THE CASE:
Found deceased in Myrtle Beach, SC on February 6, 2016
He is believed to be be 18 - 30 years of age
He is estimated at 5.8 feet tall and 175 pounds
He has DNA matches (biological relatives) that link back to the Virginia, Delaware, and North Carolina areas; specifically, Halifax, Nash, and Edgecombe, NC counties.
This is a person who died, who is unidentified and we are looking to put him to rest with dignity and let his family know what happened to him. He is not a suspect or believed to be involved in any crime.
One of the ways you can help is by transferring your DNA to law enforcement approved databases GEDmatch.com and FTDNA.com.
This helps not only in this case, but in all other suspect identification and unknown human remains cases too, as more matches, help us work more quickly.
